About CrumbJar
CrumbJar makes small things you take part in.
It started with puzzles, and those are on their way here. Alongside them came questions, verdicts, choices and a few ideas that did not fit anywhere else. They do not all look alike, and they do not need to. What connects them is that you take part, and that someone has thought about the experience and takes responsibility for it.
Everything here is free and plays in your browser. You do not need an account to start. Nothing here runs on lives, energy or waiting: you can always carry on, and missing a day never costs you anything.
When you see A CrumbJar thing, that is what it means.
What’s in the jar
- Opinions (coming soon)
- Questions, verdicts and difficult choices, in four parts.
- Polls: Ask a question or answer other people’s, then see how your answer compares.
- Candid: Answer questions privately and see what people really think.
- Jury: Read both sides of an everyday dispute and give your verdict.
- Either/Or: Two real choices from history. Pick one, then see what happened and what it cost.
- Daily (coming soon)
- A small check-in for the day.
- Word: A word for today: what it means and where it came from.
- Mood: Say how today feels and see how everyone else is doing.
- Survive (coming soon)
- Short disaster scenarios. You make the choices, and find out whether you would have made it.
- Predict (coming soon)
- Write down a prediction and lock it with a date. When the day comes, the receipt shows whether you were right.
- Guess (coming soon)
- Finish the sentence the way most people did. Points for matching the crowd.
- Slang (coming soon)
- Turn plain English into slang, or slang back into plain English, across the generations.
- Later (coming soon)
- A playful check on how much you put things off.
- Biscuit Bravery (coming soon)
- Dunk three biscuits in tea and lift each one just before it breaks. A daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus practice.
- Pocket Allotment (coming soon)
- Plant three plots, water, weed and compost them, then harvest. Nothing wilts, and every harvest goes in your collection.
- Pet Rock (coming soon)
- Adopt a rock and check on it once a day. It does absolutely nothing, and the paperwork proves it.
