Case #79122 Money 11,689 jurors so far

Is it unreasonable to expect friends to pay me back for concert tickets I bought for them?

The complainant says

Tickets for a big stadium tour went on sale at 9am on a weekday. Three friends asked me to try to get tickets for all four of us, because I was the only one not at work. I spent two hours in the online queue and got four tickets at £95 each.

That was four months ago. One friend paid me the same day. The other two have said 'will sort it this weekend' about six times. The concert is next month. I've said I'll sell their tickets if I'm not paid by Friday, and one of them said I'm 'holding the tickets hostage'.

The other side says the friends, as the complainant tells it

They say they always intended to pay, it's just been an expensive few months, and threatening to sell the tickets is an aggressive way to treat friends.
