My neighbour parks across my driveway 'for five minutes' every morning. Am I wrong to block him in?
The complainant says
Our street is narrow and parking is tight. My neighbour does the school run and, most mornings, parks across the end of my driveway while he walks his kids to the door of the house opposite where a childminder lives. He says it's only five minutes. It's often closer to fifteen, because he chats.
Twice I've been late for work because I couldn't get out. Yesterday, when he parked across my drive, I pulled my car forward to the end of the driveway so he couldn't reverse out either, and waited for him in my car with a coffee. He came back, saw he was stuck and was furious.
The other side says the neighbour, as the complainant tells it
He says there's nowhere else to stop during the school run, it's always been a friendly street and people help each other out, and that deliberately trapping someone's car is petty and could have made him late for work too.
